Training Development
Training is a key factor for the safe and correct use of a system and must be afforded the same level of assurance and thought as the design and support functions themselves. To support this, ITS provides Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Guidance, Training Course Design, Training Development, and Training Delivery, a complete and packaged solution consistent with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and JSP 822 (Defence Direction and Guidance for Training and Education).
Training is not just a support function; it is a strategic enabler of operational effectiveness and safety. In high-integrity environments such as defence, aerospace, and complex engineering systems, the quality and structure of training can directly influence mission success and system longevity.
Training ensures that personnel:
- Operate systems safely and correctly,
- Respond effectively to faults or emergencies,
- Maintain systems to required standards,
- Adapt to upgrades, obsolescence, and evolving threats.
Just like hardware and software, training must be validated, verified, and continuously improved.
ITS’s training offerings align seamlessly with the principles of Integrated Logistics Support and the CADMID lifecycle:
- Training Needs Analysis (TNA), identifies who needs training, what they need to know, and how best to deliver it,
- Training Guidance, provides strategic advice on training policy, standards, and compliance,
- Course Design, structures learning outcomes, modules, and assessments,
- Training Development, builds content, simulations, e-learning, and instructor-led materials,
- Training Delivery, executes training via classrooms, virtual platforms, or blended methods.
